How Much Does Animation Quality Affect Your Enjoyment of Anime?

Beautiful animation can make fight scenes, emotional moments, and everyday interactions more enjoyable. However, some older anime have average visuals but excellent storytelling. Would you watch a series with great writing but outdated animation?

It’s almost like Hollywood isn’t it? Older anime, like older movies, had to deliver on a great story. So while the animation isn’t as great, the story is usually better, in my opinion.
